What are cookies and similar technologies?
Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device, such as your computer, mobile phone or tablet, when you visit a website. Cookies contain information that is transferred to your computer's hard drive. They are used to distinguish you from other website users and help the website remember information about your visit including your actions and preferences (such as login, language, font size, and other display preferences) over a period of time, so you don’t have to keep re-entering them whenever you come back to the site or browse from one page to another. This makes it easier to visit the site again and make the site more useful to you.
However, it’s not only cookies that can be used in this way. Functions performed by a cookie can be achieved by other means too. This Cookie Notice, therefore, also applies to any similar technology that stores or accesses information on your device. This could include, for example, HTML5 local storage, local shared objects, beacons, pixels, and plug-ins. The single term “cookies” refers to cookies and any similar technologies.

Depending on the cookies you choose to allow some of their content may not work.
